Jack David Armold was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on September 16, 1928;  graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City (1946); first presented The Pilgrim’s Progress as a senior recital on May 17, 1950, at Bethany-Peniel College (now Southern Nazarene University); earned degrees from the following colleges and universities: Bethany-Peniel College (B.A.,1950), Northwestern University at Evanston, Illinois (M.A., 1952), University of Illinois at Ubana-Champaign (Ph.D., 1959), and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, (M.Div., 1974); was ordained as a United Methodist Church minister at the Saint James United Methodist Church in Marrero, Louisiana(1974); has served as a Pastor in the United Methodist Church and as an evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene; retired as a senior professor at the DeVry University at Dallas, Texas (1998); is past president of the Academy of Senior Professionals at Southern Nazarene University (1998-2010) and now active as the Program Chair Person in the Academy in Bethany, Oklahoma; and is an independent resident of the Spanish Cove Retirement Village in Yukon, Oklahoma.
